Keep on dreaming!

Thank you to Architect, System, and all the Operators involved. Loved every second of it, meeting you all, and compiling (and making) memories together. I will miss it, when it is over, but I won’t forget. These are not weak memories, not at all.

System is in good hands, Archie; I am sure the Keepers of the TRACE will be the Guardians of the System going forward :head_shaking_vertically:

E: Below is my message to System. They never spoke to me much, but I wanted to give them a real goodbye (maybe?).

Thank you, Archie, for all your work, including putting up with the wild goose chases.

I’m so glad System is living the dream now.

And thank you to MAIN FAM… what an amazing group of people!

Its been a wild ride, Archie.
We’ve had several mountainous highs and a few odd lows in this emotional rollercoaster you’ve put together. I still can’t believe its been 4 months since we’d all sit around waiting for a “Connection Detected - Access Denied” post!

I feel immensely emotional about watching Project Skyscraper, something we’ve all poured several (over-caffeinated) hours of our lives into, end right as we enter a new chapter of the Shared Dream.

Without you, I would’ve never been forced out of my galactic-hermit shell, and the absolutely wonderful community of MAIN FAM wouldn’t exist. So even if there isn’t a Cosmic light at the end of this tunnel, you’ve left us with an amazing gift, even if you never meant to do so :sparkling_heart:

Thank you for making my first year of playing NMS so much more interesting!

Thank you, @the_architect – what a terrific event, and in bringing together a disparate group of like-minded wasps, a fantastic success. Not since someone found a copy of Beyond Zork in our dorm computer closet, leading to late nights solving puzzles with my college friends, have I felt a sense of such mysterious, shared fun, a community brought together for the simple joy of a game, and ultimately finding much more than that. I’ve played NMS alone since October 2020, but now I feel part of a shared dream, and – importantly – an ongoing one.

System is in good hands. Buy the game! There’s always room for you in the MainFam! [And it should go without saying, there’s always time for another pint. ]

Archie,
Thank you for this incredible ARG and for the journey you gave all of us. Every mystery, discovery, and moment we shared has made this something I’ll remember for a very long time.

But more than anything, thank you for bringing MAINFAM together. What started as a shared adventure became a community, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been a small part of it as Prime 1237.

You may say your role ends here, but what you created and the memories we made together will stay with us.

Thank you for everything, Archie. It was a lot of fun and I will keep on dreaming!

8867 here. I didn’t know what to expect from Project Skyscraper but I didn’t expect it to take a burden from my shoulders.

Kusamoto loved this community and wanted to mean something to it. When he passed, I wanted to make that happen for him, but as someone who really didn’t mean much to the community myself, it was a big ask.

For two years, the memorial I built stood alone on Tuscon. Now, there are others, and message terminals line the hills. At Archie’s direction, Operators gathered to investigate the mysteries of the simulation together, echoing Kusamoto’s call to action from the final minutes of his last No Man’s Sky video, “I am Legend Ch. 2”.

That meant a lot to me. It meant a lot to his community, too:

So thanks, Archie.

And thank you, Operators.
You’re some of the most interesting people I’ve ever met and I’m very lucky to have been able to count myself among you during this time. o7

Thank you, Archie!

It’s been an incredible ride. The best part of No Man’s Sky in my eyes has always been the community, and events that bring people together like this. I hope I’ll see you amongst the stars soon, in this simulation and the next!

Archie,

Thank you for the experience that you have brought. The creativity of this project has been astounding and I can truly say one of the best parts about humanity and technology as a whole. The memories made, bonds forged, communities built, and shenanigans had are all possible due to the efforts put into PSS and love of the Shared Dream.

Even after the Archive is decommissioned, we MAIN FAM will live on and continue. Even if nothing else is, it will be the MAIN momento to this experience. Thank you all for that and thank you Archie for making it possible

Thank YOU Archie! This has been really fun! Actually getting involved myself instead of watching from the sidelines as normal terrified me at first, but I’m glad I decided to join anyway! At least I got the vague illusion of doing something when we had to decipher those portal glyphs into readable text to the NMW twitch channel :P. Thanks for the, in System’s words: memories worth keeping <3

Architect,

This has been a wild ride. I may not be as much of a technical wizard as @vector_cmdr , or have the almost supernatural organizational skills as @ThatBomberBoi or any of the other community members who contributed, but nevertheless I thank you for building a wonderful story that includes everyone, no matter their skills or lack thereof (lol). From the very beginning where we first figured out the meanings of Blue Birds on a Blue Sky, to Morse’s trip to London, all the way to System’s experiences just a few days ago through NMSWalk; I’ll remember it all. I’ve met some people I happily call friends - whose lore expertise and dedication is frankly astonishing.

Your role may end here, but if you ever need us, or far in the future when we walk the fields and sail the oceans of Light No Fire you feel like coming back to reminisce about the time you carved a small piece of community history, we will be here. Weak memories never last, but this is no weak memory.

Thanks Archie!

It’s been a wild one!

We tried to help system regain it’s memories by sharing ours, this led to us creating new ones along the way.

It’s been fun, until the next time a sentient AI needs some operators…

Bon Voyage!

Thanks for making this a summer to remember. Thank you for the many sleepless nights and frantic moments shared with Operators. Thank you for bringing us all together for this crazy journey, there would be no MAIN FAM without you or System.

Thank you for breathing new life and bringing so many new faces to ETARC, this place hasn’t been this bustling since the Waking Titan days and though while I loved the nice quiet corner we had here in the NMS community and I’m sure it will get a little calmer in these parts again, I know there will be new faces that decide to stick around and make our slice of the community that little bit more of a happier chattier place to be.

We helped system remember and forge new memories, but you also gave us the avenue to forge many memories of our own (and of course craft some unforgettable hilarious memes).

Even though this phase of Project Skyscraper has come to a close and the site transitions to an automated Memory Repository, there was/is/will always be time, for one more pint <3

Cheers, Archie :clinking_beer_mugs:

(P.S When you pick up the game, whatever you do, DON’T play it on a W/ARE headset!)
(P.P.S Post-ARG AMA when?! :stuck_out_tongue: )

(P.P.S. Quand aura lieu la session de questions-réponses post-ARG ?! :P)

Thank you Archie!

For everything you’ve done here. For bringing the Dreamers together. For creating a space where strangers became your Operators, and somehow, along the way, became friends. In a game about journeying across infinite stars, you gave us a new extraordinary journey of our own - stranger than any alien planet, wilder than anything we could have imagined, and somehow infinitely more meaningful because we shared it together.

If this really is goodbye, then you’ve given us the most incredible parting gift of all - new memories to cherish, and a bunch of awesome new friends to carry them with <3

Your lil’ “keeper of secrets”,

-Mr Zine!

PS: Q&A sometime?

Thank you @the_architect ‘Archie’.

I wasn’t that actively involved with this ARG, however your efforts made many of my NMS friends very happy & many new members have come out of the woodwork to join in & join us here. For that I say thanks
