Noticed as well, as we’re waiting on official patch notes

I have a 29MB download on GOG
Edit: And a 6 week expedition
If I got that right, we’ll spend most of that time on the same planet… They must have picked one hell of a planet to keep this interesting.
Could you check and verify the game’s build version for me?

I’m sorry, but I can’t see it, there are 2 overlay icons in the way of which I don’t know how to get rid of them.
So, small hotfix patch just released to prevent near-sealevel settlements from disappearing. Unfortunately, it looks like the hotfix may have also reversed a bunch of previous fixes. Buildings/terrain rearranged by previous patches are now back to their original locations/shape… that’s not so bad. However, my under-construction building is again having erroneous repeating stages…
Bug fixes
- Fixed a rare issue that could cause settlements to vanish, if they were constructed very close to sea level. These settlements have been restored.
Bad patch, no cookie for you!
I got the repeating final build step as well… and one building jumped 50m to the side. (I won’t be feeding this construction site any Aronium anymore and just distract myself with Expeditions…)
My console neighbour’s base is still here, but I don’t see their modifications to the village anymore. Their baseparts might reappearlater, as soon as they log back on. Where the other player had laid a pavement of floor panels, I now have long ditches crisscrossing the settlement… The NPCs manage to handle the uneven terrain though.
I find giving up and doing something else seems to fix it, eventually. One minute it says I need to do it all again (0%) and 6 hours later it’s been built without any input from me.
I just noticed that too! I’m thinking they accidentally have two separate timers going. We see the one controlling the clocks and when to accept terminal input (“feed me more materials”). However, another is probably still ticking away internally for a longer time, which controls when the stages actually finish.
Hurray! Waiting fixed it for me as well.
From latest 2.6gb patch on steam
- Fixed an issue that could reset settlement building progress when save/loading away from the settlement.
Could this be the fix that works?
narrator : It didn’t.
3xp Steam
Just built the 3rd landing pad in my settlement and had the final stage hang up on me. Completed it 3 times and finally, it completed. One of my buildings relocted for a 2nd time but went back to where it started.
