Yes. The math checks out ![]()
As the king of tipos myself, I understood with no difficulty. ![]()
Lol. I’ve said it before, I have an issue with numbers. I often write them backwards etc…
Corrected. ![]()
Well, that’s one hell of a surprise to drop on a random Monday ![]()
Its crazy watching this finally release after 3 years of on-and-off hints about it in the files. Glad to see it made it to the finish line! Congrats to all our iOS travellers, I’ll be watching from the sidelines on my android ![]()
Launches on the 28th, wonder what other goodies we might get that day ![]()
So this is what phone envy feels like.
And here we were just talking about controller vs keyboard and now we have to add in thumbs.
It does make me wonder what the controls are…
Youll be shocked to find out
you can pay people big money

I feel like they’re just taking the piss now. The most advanced real-time procedural engine, 10 years ago known as “the most resource hungry thing you could possibly put into a game”, and they got it to run on a Phone? Really? ![]()
Wow

Speechless
I look forward to someone getting Doom to run in NMS on Mobile.
5gb, hell the GOG Offline Manual Installers for NMS is 10 files totalling 30.5gb.
I sometimes wonder how much of that is redundant and no longer used by the game, maybe legacy textures/models.
I was going to say, I’m looking forward to playing NMS on a fridge or pregnancy test.
EDIT for clarity, I know Doom didn’t run on a pregnancy test, but you gotta have goals…
That said, would it be elite if they ported it to the Amiga or BBC Micro?
Oh man, I yearn for an Amiga revival. I had an A1200, with a hard drive, expanded memory and a piggy-back FPU processor onboard. It was amazing at the time, AmigaDOS and Startup-sequence scripts tailored to how you wanted it to work (copy the OS into RAM first so the OS was lightning fast booting from RAM), and the OS was tiny in size but did so much. I also used the UI replacment Magic Workbench, and made a load of custom Icons for it with glass effect.
I reckon they could do it, with cut down graphics similar to Elite II Frontiers .. But the audience would be very very limited, I think there are people still out there with Amiga 3000’s and some kind of Amiga OS, but probably not many.
Pretty sure I have seen Sean Murray used to have an Amiga too in his early years (in Australia?).
I think Amiga OS would be amazing on modern PC hardware.
The first game I got obsessed by was the original Elite on the BBC Micro - it was also on the Amiga as they were similar machines, I think. I don’t know what else it appeared on before the PC.
A post was split to a new topic: NMS Insight
