When we were tasked with building a fictional game for W/ARE, it had to fall into the category of consciousness, AI, simulation, procgen, etc. And I picked Roger Penrose as an easter egg for my game due to all of the above. The logo was also inspired by the Penrose Triangle / Impossible Triangle. It all fit so well together, I was inspired to make the most of it!

Was thinking though, about perhaps sending back: 341418541 as a query on either MAIN FAMs collective prime/ID, or Systems prime?
Now I am running on more than 5am vapours I was when it was sent - I am wondering if the MAIN FAM ID is a positional mask where the gaps encode the missing pieces based on the pieces given as MAIN FAM ID could literally encode the missing ones; as in it’s own underscore positions tell you the missing numbers.
Gaps at pos4, pos8 fill with 4 and 8 values:
3->I, 4->N, 1->M, 4->N, 1->M, 8->I, 5->F, 4->N, 1->M
Giving as the revealed result form the mask: 341418541
Could be absolutely nothing, but it’s a simple enough application.

There is probably a 5 digits limit for the “prime windows”. Someone asked for a 7 one but system answered with a 5. No proof of course but 99991 should be the highest possibility (max of 9592 windows)

Not knowing the PS4 player numbers at launch has always haunted me.
Biggest thing I want from NMS10 celebrations from HG as they look back, is a look into the raw figures from over the years.
I love me some stats.
How many xbox players arrived in 2018?
And switch?
Etc.
What were discovery services struggling under the weight of in these periods.
What does charted space REALLY look like? Haven Map has been a nice glimpse into what that might look like.

Not that I can testify a ton, but I played it on PS4 before the PC launch and mainly put hours into PS4 until Atlas Rises—discovery services at that time were very hard to gauge, honestly! Until you could really see one another or a planet named by someone, there felt like a good chance that discoveries were local and not global for a long time. Or if they were meant to be global, there was a 40-60% chance of the upload to servers failing. But even back then I stumbled on many systems named by other players and had a few goofy planet names flash across my screen in Euclid.
I’m not so sure we’ll ever know the PS4 details any more than Hello Games might. Atlas Rises bumped the playership up some, but it truly didn’t seem to spike until NEXT hit and true multiplayer was in the game. I remember I used to buy up $5 copies off GameStop during Atlas Rises because they were slowly adding multiplayer and I wanted a few of my friends to try the game, lol, I probably bought it like 7 times total.

Once on Playstation for myself (which carried over to PS5)
Once on steam for myself.
And 3 gifted on Steam to friends who played for a week or two before falling off and returning to their PVP looter shooters/etc. There may have been more but only 3 stick out that I can recall.
