I am not french, but am a native speaker of a latin language(Pt-BR) with a beginner level of French and I have taken a crack at translating this myself, with the aid of dictionaries. Hope it gives a different perspective. I’ve tried to keep the nouns and verbs very faithful to the original text, so hopefully this is a more literal version that may aid in finding potential wordplay.
