Xeno Arena

Getting there. The last Champion battle was fairly tough.

It seems like champions may not be on outlaw stations, at least not the one ive been to.

There is a xeno arena on board an outlaw station, but after fighting the arena league regulars around the sustem, i was guided to tje next system to fight the local champion.

I actually got a regular who had better line up than the champion, proc gen can throw some serious roadblocks.

3 champions down, my third was easiest so far, got lucky with the local selection of noskymons in that system, so they had a bad move set for their first two noskymons.

Have tje community decided on what we call our creatures for the PokeMans Sky update yet? Noskémans feels right.

The table is definitely inspired by the Dejarik holochess table on the Mellinium Falcon. So I’m thinking Dejarimon.

Since installing Xeno Arena, the longest I’ve managed to keep the game running is about 30 minutes. A couple of times it’s crashed within seconds of startup, but generally it gives me 10 - 15 minutes before the “No Man’s Sky has had to close” screen comes up.

In its current state, it’s unplayable.

Are you sure these aren’t bordeom induced hallucinations and you arent just hard quitting out of the game? :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry to hear pc build is shakey for you, hopefully be sorted soon :crossed_fingers:

I think i figured out what was meant by building our own.

I noticed in this screen shots the xeno arena is in a settlement, so they may appear there. I checked my settlements saloons but they are low level. Maybe upgrading tjem will add it?

Perhaps a new building type if not saloon?

It makes me a bit sad that naturally occuring creatures can’t use these new powers against the player…

Its all just holo fantasy  I wonder did the creatures give consent to their likeness before we 3d scanned them for our augmented reality/hologram tabletop game?

The saloon in my autophage settlement has two xeno arena tables, and its only a b class building.

So it seems we can “build” our own but its random if your settlement gets them or not, not all settlements may get them as part of their loadout

Whatever music is on the jukebox just plays when fighting here instead of the new music.

Think I’m gonna have to make the pokemon battle music

Ive fought a few NPCs now that have had unique xenos in their team, ones you get from expeditions but also some ive never seen before, and obviously not from the locality.

They can also have xenos you cant normally get like flyers, tunnelers and sea creatures from the locality.

One was a robot crab with the jarhead of Oceanus ;0;

I am going to guess this xeno was one of his egg rewards.

My current set is a tiny flying robot with two fingers, an elephant pancake, and a bunch of mushrooms. :joy: When I collect pets, what do I look for, is it the same as with the frigates? We can take any level c frigate we find (well, unless it has red negative properties), and they all level up somehow anyway?
PS: oh wait, someone asked the same question on reddit. And the first answer is no, levelling up a c class is not equal to a natural s class. Hmm. Reddit - Please wait for verification

My team consists of a metal horse, a flying sandworm and a butterfly. They rock!

However, I do need to level up some more types of critters.

I use a Butterfly and a hound with a huge head (which has been next to unstoppable). I switch out the third spot depending on affinities.

Theres a new scanning mode that shows you a creatures combat/health/agility class in the wild, these will be the same for everyone, so if you find a SSS creature it would be something worth sharing coords too. I’m sure eventually people will have a list of the best and most powerful of each type and where to find em.

Size also plays into things like health and agility, and personality traits have hidden moves that can be triggered, so it will be fun seeing what interesting combos people discover or modify through eggs.

This both pertains to the update and is an LOL… I love humor language.

Ah, so it was you! Had been watching for a bit, not sure you noticed.

I have not had time to play just yet. I should also revisit my “Gotta Hatch 'Em All” base and turn it from farm into an actual Xeno Arena instead?

We got a couple of little patches yesterday, and my game seems to be a bit more stable. The problem hasn’t entirely disappeared (which suggests the update introduced multiple bugs), but it’s certainly improved.

I have next to zero interest in combat or competition - but it turns out that exploring and looking for suitably high-grade arena animals is an absorbing and (sometimes) amusing task. Finding the creatures gives me just enough interest to find out how they actually perform. So that worked out OK.
