Not been able to get on today - literally fired up the PC to post that twitter post to the PS thread.
Just like the launch, I’ll be late to the party. My first visit was just before Next ( a week or two). I need to dig out the install date from the PS4, so my 10th is a little way off.
I’ll try and get on tomorrow.
I hope you all have/had a great time. Enjoy the day.

Sorry, I only use the website on my PC (I only use it via private lists so only see accounts I want to see, and an ffx extension that filters a lot of stuff out). I’ve shutdown now, but if no one can post before tomorrow, I’ll post a load when I’m back on, then.

Yeah I was expecting a little more participation from Steam numbers considering how often the organisers had been pushing and promoting NMS10’s objective for today and all the streamers that also took up the cause of getting the word out. I was thinking at worst it might be 20k or 30k at best.
14k is still fantastic numbers for steam considering its not an update or an expedition and we’re in the slump between those!
Of course the goal was to get to the 212,613 figure across ALL platforms, there was never truly any way to track the numbers on other platforms. The only thing we can hope for is that Hello Games are aware enough of the goal that they can release the figures to us over the coming days or weeks and let us know how close the community actually got.
Hate to be the pessimist but when I first heard of this aim about a year ago I figured it would be damn near impossible, even across all platforms combined. But when I saw the total number of fragments during the expedition and how much the NMS10 objective was being pushed around the communities, I really started to believe we might just pull it off.
Who knows, with the other platforms there might be a higher attachment rate for NMS than on steam. I think we could still get close to the figure.
Maybe they should have set it to get as many people to log in between the 9th-12th since the game did have a scattered release at launch. More days might have suited other people more too, perhaps a combined total across several days would have been a much more reasonable goal. But I still admire the aspiration of it. Whatever the numbers end up being is irrelavant, what is noticeable is that there was an unusual spike of players on Steam between 18:00-18:10 UTC and I think the community should be proud of that.
I also noticed a LOT of people visiting our Event system and spending time there, so those who actively play and care were definitely on board and came out in gusto.
Stats aside, today was a fantastically fun day and I couldn’t believe at one point we had 5 different lobbies of players in Etarc Event System alone I was able to flick between. Back when we first started building these bases with the incredible organisation and reminders from @DevilinPixy to get our butts in gear, I thought we might get at least 5 visitors. This was before the ARG woke this place up again and reminded the community we still exist. Them I thought maybe we’d get, 10 visitors! I couldn’t have been more wrong on both accounts.
Thanks again to the whole community for making this one a strong memory we’ll never forget.

The dance party that started last night in MAIN FAM after NMSWalk with System is about to hit the 24 hour mark. Participants have been tagging in and out all day but the dancing has not stopped once.
