Goal

We need to come up with a community wide final collection of 10 questions to ask @the_architect (Archie), which must be published to TRACE (this forum). The final deadline for this is July 8th, 2026, after which Archie will answer them.

Note: questions should expect in-character answers, no breaking the 4th wall.

The plan

Two options / platforms for both providing your questions, as well as voting, listed and detailed below.

Note: We would prefer operators to make a choice where to submit your question(s), to prevent both options from being influenced and getting duplicate submissions.

• No Man’s Sky Discord forum → Architect Inquiry nominations
  • A separate thread is created for each question an operator wishes to submit.
    • You can not edit a submission.
    • You can create as many as you wish, with a 2 hours time-out.
  • Try to prevent duplicates.
  • Operators react to those threads as a voting mechanism.
• Atlas CSD / ETARC forum
  • Operators are allowed only one single question.
    This is required to limit the size of poll options (max. 100).
  • Try to prevent duplicates.
  • A poll for voting can be found in a separate topic.
  • Submission of questions will close before the poll itself closes.

Each of the above, will after closing come to a result of 15 questions, which are going to be combined removing possible duplicates. With that final list, a final round of voting will happen to come down to a list of 10 questions.

In light of what we are currently witnessing with Ghost appearing to be System and data getting all messed up, what risks are actually involved in waking up/restoring System with the use of memories we as operators provide and verify, while giving it a connection to Tower?

If you are permitted, please share with us the level, nature and purpose of any security clearance you and/or your associate(s) may possess for Mercury or any Mercury subroutines?

During Waking Titan, Mercury referred to Hello Games IRL, and the Mercury Subroutine referred to the Waking Titan ARG.

This question is intended to ascertain The Architect’s relationship with HG, if any, while maintaining lore-level context (not breaking the 4th wall), allowing for an in-character response while providing wiggle room for added ambiguity if necessary.

You have stated that you know each and every operator, and you seem proud of the work done by the operators; however, sometimes you seem afraid of the operators. Can you please tell us more about your fears regarding the project and operators, and what we can do to alleviate them?

Would you share with us the most mind blowing or unexpected statistic/outcome you’ve seen on your end since Operators got involved, and how it affected you and/or Project Skyscraper?

Operator efforts over the past few months have resulted in the full automation of System’s Memory Restoration module (albeit with a few errors), a seeming return of its consciousness, mental capabilities, and a sense of self seen by its rebelliousness and unwillingness to back down from autonomous control, as well as the uncovering of TOWER, which appears to be hidden under a personal website known as “Recall Dreams”. Given these known loose yet developing threads, please elaborate in detail (to the best of your abilities) about what exactly Operators will be expected to do in the coming days in terms of input, interactions and tasks, and the exact timeline of these, to the best of your abilities, in terms of information which the Operators currently lack about the future.

The System has been responding almost exclusively to memories related to No Man’s Sky and its development. What is it about No Man’s Sky, it’s universe and its themes that draws the System to it so strongly?

During the Waking Titan period there was a group of human test subjects whose consciousnesses were connected to the Loop16 simulation. I believe they were known as ‘The Dreamers’ . The system appears to recall such emotional events the strongest. Could the Dreamers be ghosts that might be reawakened so that travellers could interact and meet them face to face?
