I totally missed that feature somehow. Or I have rediscovered lost knowledge.

Similar to the “warp to photo” feature in the main menu that I do not remember at all but was there very very briefly.

Been on my mind a while but was reminded of it recently.

Polished stone ruins have different looks for each biome variant from snow to overgrowth.

It would be cool if the base parts for Ruins were context sensitive like the stone/wood/metal wall pieces etc.

They’d also have to give us the option to expand the menu and access the variants like with other build pieces, so we can choose to also place whatever style we want, rather than just contextual match the biome.

Those snow capped ruins are just too pretty to not have. As are all the other ruin biome variants.

Another wild wish to throw into the well

#### Steam Frame native support

Presently ~1fps is not playable with NMS running directly on the Steam Frame. Meanwhile casting from the Steam Machine to the Frame is not working “yet” (which is a Valve issue, yes).

I see the points raised that NMS is a demanding game to run, so getting NMSE to run natively on the Frame is maybe too big of an ask. However, NMS is still supported on PS4 and Nintendo Switch - with a little bit more of that technical wizardry, maybe, _maybe_ they could optimise for the Steam Frame too.

1.) I’d like to edit/arrange the base listings on the main teleporter list, or at least under the Your Bases tab, according to my own personal preferences. I have bases built for similar reasons but at different times, I’d like to list together. I have favorite bases that are down the list rather than first. Expedition bases now out of order due to relocations. Et cetera.

B.) Now that station ownership is possible, add freighter docking and upgrading, including class.

III.) the ability to turn planets to baking soda, freighter dogfights, free cheese on the Anomaly, and whatever else Reddit wants.

[_really, I would like the first two_]

Odd. I don’t recall that option at all and have been playing since release. 🤔

How do I make a crossover with Maestro happen?

Drones

It’s probably been suggested before but I had a great idea when playing my game last night. I use my camera mode quite a bit for scouting ahead or getting a Birds Eye view of the terrain when I suddenly thought about having in-game drones.

Stored in your backpack, works exactly like camera mode to fly to a set distance from the player. Could have upgradeable parts, scanner options, including IR and UV to spot different terrain/flora/fauna features that don’t appear in visible light. No pausing in game, so player is still at risk of attack and weather effects. Could be customisable and have skins and buildable parts.

What do you think?

I also use camera mode to look for caves in search of that last elusive underground critter. I kinda use it like a drone even now. A little more range would be nice with the ability to show the compass so I don’t forget what direction I was pointing in.

What about an actual drone for scouting.

If they added that feature/functionality to laylaps to fly the sentinel drone around 🤔

Imagine in light no fire, taming a falcon or other flying beastie and using it to scout 🤔

Any companion pet, with a relevant side package, could be used?

I use the camera to scout out manufacturing buildings etc. when doing a raid. Always useful to know where the door is.

My top three hopes, in order of what I think is most likely:

We need a ‘Synthesis Part II’, so many awesome features have been added that just need a _little_ more polish.

I’d really love for them to do another weekend mission storyline, it was really fun being able to follow an arc instead of “oh go kill X hazardous plants” or some other busywork. Would also encourage people to log in every week opposed to, say, speedrunning the expedition and waiting for the next one.

And finally, I would love a more in-depth upgrade system, more akin to elite dangerous ship outfitting, but I seriously doubt that would happen.
