Some non-spoilery shots from the Weekend Community Mission:
(Edit: Tiny Predator attack:)
Game glitched out on me a few times and had to start over, but goterdone!
Today’s QS quest brought to you by Stellar Corruption:
Heckin’ hard to find critters to feed! Found out that even though the mission text specifies “herbivores”, feeding predators counts too, which was a good thing.
Extreme planet w/extreme storms (“Jade Winds”) every five mins or so, and even higher frequency of predators. Pretty cool in a brooding melancholy kind of way.
Next planet was much nicer:
Only white, gray, blue, and brown ring colors so far, but better than the old, plainer ones.
A “lit” cactus with rock groupies.
Man!!! It’s so much easier on a darker coloured & more sparce planet. Those whiteout storms on ice-worlds are hard with all the trees.
(Admittedly, I do prefer charging about in the Roamer, rather than scanning and marking when hunting crystals).
I have a favourite Scorched planet with dark ground, only small hills & almost no pot-holes. Can make quite a haul when you get a rhythm going.
Some shots from today’s explorations:
Edited to re-upload photos that somehow got stuck loading for half an hour.
Sometimes the muted biome color palettes don’t look very appealing to me.
Sometimes they “work,” as below.
Oooo. A golden shot!
Filter or Mega-Exotic world?
The Nexus adds interesting patterns. Textures and patterns interest me.
Gorgeous!
I immediately thought, "Ooh! I need to paint that!
