Screenshots v2.0

I cant help but imagine you escaped those underwater walkers by cosmic chance as those swimming worms came speeding by and you latched on to its tail and got whisked away as it bore through the current.

Oh and sandbar I was just wondering, I noticed your images were heavily compressed and realised from the filenames they were uploaded to FB. FB is awful when it comes to its image compression, what system are you playing on? Perhaps theres a better solution we could reccomend because these are some lovely pictures, its almost a shame to see them compressed so </3

@SingularGleam Hey I know a guy who’ll give youy like… 8 whole nanites, for those storm crystals… like, maybe every second day. How could you resist? Ares, you damn cheapskate!

Please I started taking all my pics on ps5 in png, I read on these forums that the jpeg was more compressed, how do I get the pics from ps5 to etarc?

I do not own a PS5 (Dev Kit?) but on PS4 you need to send them to a flash drive and then to a PC to convert to JPEG. There may be a program you could use on your phone, but not sure.
How well is NMS running on the PS5?

I was exploring a toxic, desert world. I came across one of those silly little sites - nothing there but a save point, a flag, and a damaged machinery capsule. But over in the far right corner, you can see there’s a Korvax.

I’ve no idea what he was doing there. We exchanged a few sentences.

He recharged my hazard protection. That was the end of the encounter - I had no more dialogue options.
I don’t have a clue what it was all about. He’s probably still out there.

Hmmm…he is supposed to have a crashed ship in need of fixing. Must be a story in there somewhere. Guess he didn’t care to share it.
EDIT: I just encountered one of these ship less Travellers as well.

Excellent low-grav planet someone should make good use of. Has the biggest hills and deepest valleys I have seen on this type of world.

My aouto correct wants a ps5 so much it changes the text every time I mention ps 4. I thought png was the better one of the two options availiblle to ps 4 users. I can use my sons pc but as for getting the pics onto it I would need a hard dive I can plug in via USB, that’s not on cards anytime soon.

Just a USB flashdrive will work (thumb drive) The only thing is, there can not be anything else on it. It will have to be for PS4 use only. The PS4 will not read a flash drive if there is any other data on it. Once you drag and drop the pics onto PC you can open them with any cheap program like Paint and simply export them as JPEG. Then you will have to use the PC to post the pics here or port them onto your phone via your USB charger cable and post them from your phone. Unfortunately, there is no way to post directly from the PS4 because of the format PS uses.

I’ve come across this as well. Twice, actually. One of them recharged my suit, the other just wanted to be left alone.

Uploading to social media from the console usually leaves you with highly compressed images and it will convert png to jpg. Best way is to either transfer to another device directly via USB stick or some form of portable storage device.

The method I use since I don’t have one handy, is I send the image to a psn friend who is happy to recieve a barrage of images, open the messenger app on my phone and I can access and save them to my phone from there and upload directly to etarc/CSD. There’s still some slight compression on sonys side of things but it’s not as bad as the other methods (transferring to USB or flash drive being the only way to get them with zero compression to the image)

Sorry if my initial message came off judgemental I was more thinking, man these are gorgeous I wonder if they know how to lose the compression, maybe I can aid them, kinda thing.

Well, that step at least makes perfect sense. png has no place on the web, except for things where you need transparency (i.e. logos, UI elements and such). Uploading an image intended just for viewing as a png is the web-equivalent of parking your car in a way that uses two parking slots. Or 5, or 10…

I do a similar thing on my ps4, except I setup a dummy psn account that I send the messages to.

To add to what @sheralmyst said, if the PC is Windows 10, the built-in Photos app has a very nice editor with a lot of functions.

@sheralmyst - your latest photos post makes your eye for beauty Crystal clear. Sorry. Couldn’t resist. :slightly_smiling_face:

This one is for you @zsigmond. This discovery shows why exploring on foot can really pay off. Had I spotted this from the air, it would not have been the same. On foot, it was like cutting through the jungle and finding an ancient wonder.
Looks like it has been there for decades.

Amazing planet

Must have been a family reunion

Another mushroom planet. So wonderful I just couldn’t seem to capture it.
