Request Memory Timestamp - General Discussion

Oop! Looks like the memory block submissions are starting to do things.! For context Klaxk is a member of The Galactic Hub Project.

What does “weak” link to?

I wonder what they submitted

Pretty sure that is the date Phase 2 of Waking Titan started.

1500595200 was June 21, 2017 the date tape 9/16 was received.

A hint that we can take action to release the remaining tapes?

If anyone knows Klaxk and can figure out what they submitted I think we should send that, here’s what i just submitted.

Submitted a few more, didn’t want to clutter with pics, same Operator and Timestamp but Memory values as follows:

5020-7-8118.ETARC

wake loop16

Klaxk is Galactic Hub, we’ll get that info over when he’s available.

The date he submitted was for the Waking Titan WHOIS commands appearing (Waking Titan/Console Commands - Game Detectives Wiki)

I’ve asked all members of the Galactic Hub (or at least those who see my request) to submit memory bloc requests for the same timestamp to strengthen the signal.

Klaxk submitted their request through a link opened in Discord, so he wasn’t able to use the browser history to find the original link. According to what he remembered, he never submitted anything relating to July 21, 2017. He only submitted two requests: one for the launch of NMS, and (if I’m understanding correctly) one for the founding of the Galactic Hub (Oct 30th 2016).

So I’m not sure what’s going on on that front. Maybe he accidentally copied one of the timestamps I posted and misapplied it, but I didn’t post the July 21st, 2017 timestamp until later, and only here on ETARC I think… As far as I’m aware, I’m the only person who submitted that timestamp. Again, not sure what’s going on there.

I’ll also mention that I did retain links to my first requests and they no longer display any info about the request anyway, so even if he did still have the link, it’s very likely that all we’d gain is whether it still says “PENDING” or not.

Regardless, the timestamp is there now, and it’s weak, so people are submitting requests to hopefully stabilize it.

Here are submissions all for timestamp 1500595200

Operator: Sleepycadet/Galactic_Hub_Project

Initial Memory Value: Waking Titan Console Commands appear in-game, detailing such information as the recognition of the Galactic Hub Project as an exploration group, and Caesarus, the largest fauna ever recorded.

Operator: calix/Galactic_Hub_Project

Initial Memory Value: Console commands for Waking Titan appeared.

Operator: orbii/Galactic_Hub_Project

Initial Memory Value: The day that console commands for Waking Titan had appeared.

(LINK)

Operator: G’fudi/Galactic_Hub_Project

Initial Memory Value: // ÉTALONNER // ÉTALONNER // ÉTALONNER //

Operator: Crimson/Galactic_Hub_Project

Initial Memory Value: Console commands for Waking Titan appeared

(LINK)

Operator: Zombini61/Galactic_Hub_Project

Initial Memory Value: Initialization of Console Commands for Waking Titan

I’d also say that, given that the Cassette memory stabilized and the WHOIS memory was added, yet NMS launch day and GH founding day were not, it seems very clear that we’re meant to be injecting memories specifically relating to Waking Titan.

my first thought is that we’re meant to correct the error, like with the poem. how would we go about that?

I could be wrong but my thought is that they’re starting to want to engage more people and the community more broadly, so this puzzle specifically needs a mass response more than any more surgical approach. My evidence for that approach being:

  • The WHOIS command being “weak” when I was (before today) the only person known to have injected it, versus the Cassette tape (a more commonly-submitted date I think?) being stable as soon as it appears
  • “Weak” signal, how do you strengthen a signal? One way is more broadcasters. (I dont actually know much about signal strength so idk if that’s even a correct line of thought, BUT it is a line of thought)
  • “Injecting data from multiple sources increases the chances of anchoring” from the injection / request page

All of that, to me, just reads as “GET MORE PEOPLE”.

thats fair! i guess maybe im honing in too hard on Klaxk saying they didnt submit anything WHOIS related to begin with. i agree that we’re being pushed to DDOS the site using our combined human (and traveller) powers, lol

Yeah I have no idea what to think about Klaxk saying he didn’t submit that date… for now my only guess is human error, either the architect (or assistant or whatever lol) inputting the new memory bloc mixed up the lines of their submissions spreadsheet, or Klaxk copied the wrong timestamp.

I find the latter unlikely because I never posted the WHOIS timestamp anywhere but a single comment on this forum iirc.

Thank you @jonbot5k! Still on probation for likes so mwah

The architect is fixin to put YOU in a tower for that

Anyone else read this as if @the_architect were lightly scolding us?

Conversation with interloper Klaxk of the Galactic_Hub_Project, identified as Source_injection of the 1500598800 / July 21, 2017 memory despite saying he never uploaded such a memory:

Conversation

Me:

Are you very confident that you never inputted the 1500595200 timestamp even by accident? If you check the clipboard in your phone, does it maybe still have the timestamps you copied? We’re trying to figure out why you got attributed to a memory you apparently didnt submit

Klaxk:

I went to the UNIX EPOCH converter website to put in the date 8/9/2016 and copied over to the submission. I don’t think it would have been a mistake from me because it was copy paste… butttt I can’t go back to be 100% but I know I only put in 2: one for galactic hub foundation and one for the release date of no mans sky

Me:

Okay perfect, if you converted the dates yourself rather than copying anything I posted, it’s very unlikely you made a mistake

Iiiinteresting (thinking emoji) …What if it’s asking for you to be the one to submit the memory? Seems very unlikely also, but just in case, what if you submitted a memory for July 21, 2017 at 12:00:00 AM like I described in announcements? Maybe we have to “fix” the memory by having you actually submit it, if it says you submitted it and you didn’t. Though I will reiterate, I doubt that, and I think human error by the architect / their team is more likely… but if it is an error, and we fix the error, all the same maybe?
Use this timestamp:
1500595200

Klaxk:

What is the best format for the memory value… and I guess what should I put?

Me:

I think you should phrase it in a way that is natural to you, but basically, that’s the day that Waking Titan opened up the Console Command interface, which allowed people to input WHOIS commands. These references various civs and entities / institutions within NMS, including the Galactic Hub Project, the United Federation of Travelers, NoMansHigh, and the Deep Thought Collective / NMSPortals.

There’s more info here but like everything Waking Titan on the GameDetectives wiki, it’s a novel’s worth of text: Waking Titan/Console Commands - Game Detectives Wiki
(I’m slightly exaggerating there but it’s a lot)

Just waiting to hear back when he gets a chance to submit.

So there is an idea floating. Wrong user name, wrong timestamp but close…weak. Needs tweaking.
Just submitted this

Could also be START ATLAS.INIT
