News From The Void

@sheralmyst

I thought this reply would fit better over here, I meant to post this the other day.

There’s going to be plenty of spots for you guys to cross over on possibly :grimacing:

We’re being bullied into removing a cap even though planes are rarely at capacity and the airport is a nightmare as is.

Let’s not even forget the increased environmental impact and noise pollution nobody wants. Think I might go move down the country with my cousins

He said the origins of the passenger cap, which was introduced in 2007 and limited the number of passengers passing through the airport’s two terminals at 32 million a year, belonged to a “different era, a different set of circumstances”.

It’s not like the flights are all fully booked out either. Pre-pandemic we would take in 8-9 billion a year in tourism. We’re only just back up to between 5-6 billion. Meanwhile the airlines are free to act like a cartel. I haven’t flown in years but I heard you have to pay extra now to get to sit with the people you booked your tickets for/with. Otherwise you’re all assigned random seats :-/
