Music Tastes among ETARCers?

I listen to a variety of genres; however, if I were to pick a few specific songs or albums amongst my roster, they would be Ian William Craig’s Music for Magnesium and The Doors’ The End.

This album inspires me to create written art from a world which does not exist, nor shall it ever exist.

This specific song is a current favorite of mine which I rediscovered after watching Apocalypse Now. There are some others which are quite fantastic, however, I cannot recall them at this present moment.

Many thanks for the nudge, I’ve massively got into them…I’ve followed them down underground, this is my home now, with the friendly creatures,…

Hoping to see them in Manchester in the autumn now.

LoL

Very interesting, wonder if they are NMS fans.

I met them in early 2000s before they were Die Antwoord, at a music festival I performed at also.

They experimented with a few different sounds/styles and approaches/iterations (constructus corporation, max normal) which all helped build them to where they are today.

In light of Project Skyscraper and some hints referencing Penrose, I think it’s time to burn some bridges to make our path a lil’ easier?

Haha right there with you.

I chose to go with 65DOS’s debut album, The Fall of Math :joy:

I like a wide spectrum but my main listen is garage band, crunchy rock.

I’ll drop this example here since they’re a great local group and I’m friends with one of the members. They reunited last year for a couple of concerts, 27 years after they “made it” and 25 years after they got dropped by a big label. This was night one of two sold-out shows at Bowery Ballroom in New York City.

Oooh, thanks for reminding me. I have a Tower song too  Specifically, the b-sides remix version

The one who sings around the sun
Cannot be bothered with the dark
The reason exits with the light
The one, the sun, the night begins
And so the trouble ends
I speak if only to explain
And knowing it is lost if my
Intentions are in doubt
The ones
I love are full of trust
They think the answer lies with me
But I am powerless to stop
The world from holding me in place
The tower of it all
It is a cloud that hangs for days
It is a giant in the tree
Holding the neck of me
We live, as many others live
In fear of dying incomplete
Feeling the fabric tear apart
Uncertain where to start
The one who sings around the sun
Cannot be bothered with the dark
Is undeserving of the light
The one, the sun, the night

…and when I press the special key,

It plays a little melody…

If that’s not prime that’s blue. So…

After basic maths, basic instinct

I sometimes wonder if the sample in that was inspired by Threads (filmed in Sheffield). It’s obviously not from Threads, or about it, but if you said it in S. Yorkshire accent, would fit the film perfectly.
