I will check for a portal next time I am in my Exocraft. We are on the 9th floor of a large complex and I am happy to report that the building is stable. 😀  
The planet is lush and I have not seen any sentinels…unless they have disguised themselves as nurses bearing needles. 😬 If so, then they are abundant and definitely not passive.
