Placing solar arrays inside glass room. Does it work?

Has anyone tried this?

Since the room is glass is should work, but i dont have the mats yet to make glass to try it myself.

I wish HG would have made it possible to place them on top of buildings, but you can only place them on the center square area and there’s only room for a few.

Knocked this up to test for you, I dont have any glass cuboids in any bases, but indoors is indoors I guess.

I tried using my torch, but I guess the light is not bright enough to power solar arrays :joy:

What are you talking about??

Just a joke. I know it doesn’t answer your question, but I am sure we’ll find out

They don’t seem overly photo sensitive.

Awsome. I’ll try it out.

Thanks.

Just tried inside a Bio Dome, which works fine.

Then I figured to try 4 Cuboid Rooms in a square, so just a single floor, no light from outside. This unexpectedly actually works fine as well!
Will add some screenshots of the Cuboid rooms in a sec.

This is done in creative mode, but I doubt that makes a difference.

I’m not surprised. They either thought of checking the indoors flag, or they didn’t. The game being able to differentiate between indoors with or without sunlight would really have surprised me.

I decided to put mine in the cellar.

I just noticed that the Time Until Drained is increasing. Seems a bit strange.
