The fun begins!
Not actually a bug:
Increased the scale of starships. Landing pads and docking areas across the galaxy have been expanded to cope with the new larger ships. As a result, landing pads in existing bases have been refunded.
Dont know about that, across my bases some landing pads are present, some are not., Ive another skybase that has one landing pad present out of 4 i built
Well, then the ones still there are a bug…
yeah, handy actually, saves a 30 minute stair building session
From patch notes:

Has anyone been able to snap the new Landing Pad to the old Cuboid Rooms?
Have not tried but the new build system will highlight the available places to build for each object. Should be highlighted in blue.
I’ve never been able to snap a landing pad to a room. I’ve only ever been able to snap them to doorways.
Admittedly, my cuboid rooms tend to have doors - otherwise I couldn’t get out. But it’s the doors my landing pads connect to - not the rooms.
Yes I did and it did not work. Tried quite a few things but couldn’t place the landing pad.
(Old save,PS4,Normal)
Thanks for the suggestion. Tried adding doors but the Landing Pad showed no inclination to attach. May be time to start a new base.
Ive tried a few things to get them to attach and had no luck either. The whole building process feels a bit slow and clunky to me at the minute
The problem is simple.
The landing pads have changed in size.
The present building did not change in size.
The landing pads can not attach.
So like or not the building that have landing pads will need to be rebuilt.
Thanks for clearing that up Ziggy.
I blame Emily tbh.
Why does the base needs to be rebuild? Why couldn’t a longer corridor work? My bases are huge, rebuilding makes no sense.
You may not have to completely rebuild your base, but the new landing pad may no longer fit where it used to be. Of course this all depends on your base layout.
Do keep in mind that the new landing pads have some trouble snapping and may not snap to a pre-Beyond building part (cuboids, rooms, hallways). To get the new landing pad to snap, you have to be at quite a bit of distance for some odd reason.
I would suggest to use a creative mode save and give it a test, to get familiar with the new size and somewhat odd snapping behaviour of the new landing pad. Then try get it to work with your base.
Hi @Jfmoreno, welcome to forum.
I’m finding that the more I retrofit my several existing bases, the more Iearn how to alter things without issues.
Take the time to peridically save your progress so if you run into problems you can reload and try your alterations from a different perspective.
I’ve had to completely restart one base but 2 others have been well behaved enough to work around the annoying little hiccups.
They don’t seem to snap to anything for me. I can place them on top of other things though the placement is a bit finicky and glitchy, but the old “snap to door” method seems to be gone.
